You already know what this is: the girls in their school uniforms, the absurd weapon transformations, the camera angles that have no excuse. Hyakka Ryouran doesn't apologize for any of it, and neither should you. One year later and the show is still swinging hard at what it does best, pure, unfiltered fan service wrapped around actual character chemistry that somehow makes you care about these ridiculous fights. The "Samurai General Election" is exactly the excuse plot this franchise needs to let every girl compete for screen time. Set one year after Samurai Bride, this two-episode comedy ecchi OVA returns to the alternate Japan where the Tokugawa Shogunate still rules. Juubee already thinks of herself as Muneakira's wife, but Yukimura, Sen and Kanetsugu reject the idea, while Gisen proposes becoming his mistress for now. Their argument is broken up by the arrival of Kagekatsu, an acquaintance of Kanetsugu, and Keiji, who proposes a seven-day contest to settle who will be Muneakira's ideal wife. In the second episode, Sen finds Toyotomi's Treasure in a bat-filled cave and starts acting far more brazen toward Muneakira, and the change spreads to the other girls.
