This is the episode you only got if you actually bought the discs, which is exactly the point. It drops you back into Gamindustri with no boss fight looming and no world to save, just Neptune doing the thing she does best: dodging her royal duties, needling Histoire, and talking to you like she knows there's a screen between you. The show always ran on the gap between "console war goddess" and "girl who would rather grind a save file than govern Planeptune," and a bonus episode is where that gap gets to be the whole joke instead of the setup. Noire's pride, Blanc's fuse, Vert's whole deal, all of it landing without having to share airtime with killer eggplants or a piracy goddess. The TV run made you sit through the plot to get to the hangout. This is the hangout, purchased separately, and worth it.

Choujigen Game Neptune: THE ANIMATION gets a thirteenth episode that never aired on television and was released instead on the seventh BD/DVD volume. The title marks it as a true ending. It returns to Gamindustri, where Neptune and the other Goddesses govern Lastation, Leanbox, Lowee and Planeptune while caring more about video games than ruling, and change into more powerful forms when monsters and other dangers turn up. Expect a one-episode OVA mixing action, comedy, fantasy and magical girl elements.
