A kogitsune learning flower language to make Natsume smile is the entire show, distilled. There is no plot twist coming, no threat, no reason to brace yourself. Just kindness moving quietly through a single perfect moment, which is exactly what Natsume's world has always been about.

Kogitsune teaches Nyanko-sensei what different flowers mean, then gathers them into a bouquet to give to Natsume as a present. The single short ONA was produced as a promotional video for a Bandai Spirits Ichiban Kuji prize event themed around the language of flowers, which began in March 2021 at convenience stores and other shops. The result is a gentle supernatural slice-of-life piece built around one small act of gift-giving.
