A woman searches for a man's name while he's content to exist only in her present. The cursed dance that haunts him becomes secondary to what the show actually cares about: two people choosing each other despite everything pulling them apart. The film's real strength is how it makes you believe in their connection before you understand what he is, then makes you rewatch it knowing exactly what that connection costs.

Akane meets a kind young man during a downpour, and he quietly offers her his coat without a word. When they meet again, he admits that he has no memory of who he is, his name or his past, yet he feels at peace simply being near her. Smitten with him, Akane resolves to discover his name. Her search also draws her toward a famous cursed dance, said to kill anyone who tries to perform it, and toward the mysterious tie between this nameless man and that dance. The film blends romance and drama with fantasy and adventure.
