SYNOPSIS
Tenma arrives at Raimon Junior High as a first-year soccer fanatic with natural dribbling talent but plenty left to learn. The school that once revolutionized the sport a decade ago now stands hollow, stripped of its fire. An iron-fisted organization called Fifth Sector controls Japanese soccer completely, draining it of joy and raw passion in favor of cold, calculated play. The team that built legends has lost its way. Players train in fear rather than excitement. Matches feel like obligations instead of battles. Tenma refuses to accept this suffocating reality. Armed with his own hunger for the beautiful game and a stubborn refusal to let corporate control kill soccer's spirit, he works to rekindle the spark that made Raimon legendary. But challenging Fifth Sector means facing teams stronger than anything Raimon has encountered. Success demands more than individual talent. Tenma must rebuild trust, resurrect lost technique, and prove that soccer belongs to the players and fans, not shadowy bureaucrats pulling strings from above.
