Bell's growth stops mattering the moment one of his own gets accused of murder. The dungeon becomes secondary to a mystery that forces every ally to either prove their loyalty or reveal they were never trustworthy at all. This is where DanMachi finally stops being a power fantasy and becomes something harder: a story about whether the family you build can actually survive pressure that has nothing to do with monsters.

Bell Cranel has reached Level 4 after saving the Xenos from grave danger, but the Hestia Familia still has far to go before it can match the other Familias of Orario. Before Bell can set out on his next mission, word of a brutal killing shakes the adventurers of the city, and one of his trusted allies stands accused. A prophetic dream from Cassandra Ilion warns that his close friend Ryuu Lion could bring about a disaster that dooms the entire party, yet Bell refuses to doubt her and resolves to clear her name. With his friends beside him, he heads deeper into the Dungeon than ever before to expose a sinister scheme taking shape in its depths. The season is a fantasy adventure that mixes action with comedy and romance.
