A small Japanese izakaya exists in two worlds at once. Tucked away on a quiet Kyoto street, the pub called Nobu has a door that mysteriously opens onto Aitheria, an ancient city in another world. Master Nobuyuki Yazawa and his only server, Shinobu Senke, welcome anyone who walks in: idle palace guards, clergymen in disguise, craftsmen, merchants, nobles and even the Waterworks Guildmaster. Their guests have never tasted drinks this fine or seen dishes like these, and as word of the menu spreads, more Aitherians arrive hungry and full of stories. Over cold beer and warm food, the patrons set their worries aside for a while. The result is a gentle fantasy comedy about good food, friendly service and the people who gather at the counter.
