Isekai Quartet exists to watch Ainz deadpan interact with Kazuma's chaos, then watch Tanya calculate the optimal way to avoid a school field trip. The comedy lives in the collision, these characters were never meant to occupy the same room, so every scene is absurdity built on permission. New additions like Shadow inject fresh angles into the same joke, but the show knows exactly what it is: a 11-minute excuse to see your favorite isekai protagonists fail at being normal classmates together.

A button turns up from nowhere, and nobody can tell whether it is a trap or the beginning of something new. The casts of Re:ZERO, Overlord, KONOSUBA and Saga of Tanya the Evil are still stuck together in a classroom in another world, and fresh faces are joining them, among them Alpha and Shadow from The Eminence in Shadow. This third season of the crossover comedy keeps its short episode format and draws its isekai heroes in a cute, super-deformed style, finding lighthearted fantasy fun in throwing these very different characters into shared school life.
