Anime Like Jeremy no Ki
A bird mourns its mother through the eyes of a child who has no one to mourn. SYNOPSIS
A young bird finds itself orphaned until a solitary tree becomes its unlikely parent, offering shelter and love in the wilderness. When loggers arrive and fell the tree for the city's Christmas season, the bird loses everything. Desperate to reunite with its adoptive mother, the bird encounters Jeremy, a starving orphan sleeping rough on frozen streets. Moved by the bird's plight, Jeremy agrees to help search through the countless trees decorating homes across town, hoping to find the one that raised his new friend. As they wander from house to house in biting cold, Jeremy's body weakens and his hope dims. When a mysterious figure dressed as Santa appears before them, both the bird and boy face a choice: trust in this stranger's promise of salvation, or continue their impossible quest alone.
