A teacher with a demon hand saving kids from ghosts should be ridiculous, but Nube makes you care about both the horror and the students he's protecting. The show pulls off what most horror-comedies can't: genuine scares in one episode, genuine laughs in the next, genuine heartbreak when a kid finally understands what their teacher actually is. Forty-nine episodes means most won't stick with you forever, but the ones that do have teeth.

Nueno Mesuke, known as Nube, is a clumsy, easygoing schoolteacher with a big heart and a secret hidden under the glove on his left hand. That hand is a monstrous demon's claw, and he can also sense ghosts and evil spirits. It became his after he drove an extremely powerful demon out of a child: outmatched, he lost his own hand and let the demon enter his body to fight it. Now he turns that power against malicious ghosts, demons and other supernatural beings that trouble his students, doing his best both to teach them and to keep them safe. The series mixes school comedy with horror, adventure and a touch of romance.
