The comedy doesn't wait for permission. Mikami charges money to exorcise your ghost, Tadao charges himself at every woman in a 50-meter radius, and the actual supernatural stuff is just an excuse for both of them to collide with the job at hand. Every case spirals the same way: a real problem meets Mikami's greed meets Tadao's libido, and somehow they still save the day while the ghosts are almost an afterthought. Comedy this loose and character-driven doesn't get made anymore.

Reiko Mikami runs a paranormal extermination business in Japan with one goal: make money. Lots of it. Her agency, GS Mikami, will take on any ghost, oni or yokai job as long as the client pays. Her assistant Tadao Yokoshima is a perverted but loyal high schooler who earns very little and sticks around mainly in hopes of catching a glimpse of Reiko's body. Reiko, for her part, treats him as handy cannon fodder on dangerous jobs. The pair are also joined by friendly spirits, including a teenage ghost named Kinu Himuro, as they take on one strange haunting after another. The result is a supernatural comedy built on wacky exorcism jobs and a boss who cares far more about her fee than her staff.
