Giorno's ascent from unwanted bastard child to don feels earned because the show spends zero time convincing you he deserves loyalty, he earns it the same way he earns every fight, through will that borders on supernatural. The animation doesn't just service the spectacle; it becomes the spectacle, every frame designed to make you feel the weight of Naples and the precision of betrayal. By the final arc, you're not watching a mafia story anymore. You're watching someone reshape what honor means.

Giorno Giovanna is a 15-year-old in Naples who gets by on part-time work and pickpocketing, and DIO, the eternal enemy of the Joestar clan, runs in his blood. Persecuted since childhood, he fell into delinquency until a gangster rescued him and taught him to trust others. Now he dreams of becoming a Gang-Star. His Stand, Gold Experience, can create life, sprouting plants and turning objects into living animals. After a clash with a Passione collector, he meets Bruno Bucciarati, a Passione member with his own sense of justice, and joins his team. Together they fend off rival gangsters while secretly working their way toward the mysterious boss, aiming to overthrow him and help the city. The series is a supernatural action drama set in Italy's corrupt underworld and adapts the fifth arc of the franchise.
