A pint-sized fox thief steals a dinosaur egg and somehow that becomes the actual plot instead of the setup for something darker. The movie commits hard to the absurdity: Zorori is selfish, lazy, and stumbles into helping people because he's too clever to let a good scheme fail. You spend ninety minutes watching a character who should be annoying become absolutely magnetic because he never stops moving and never takes himself seriously. This is what happens when a show trusts that a likable rogue doing ridiculous things is entertainment enough. If you've ever watched a movie and thought "I just want to see a funny animal do crimes for an hour," this is the answer.

Zorori, Ishishi, and Noshishi receive a letter from a friend of theirs, a dinosaur mother, inviting them to come see some dinosaur eggs that are due to hatch soon. The three head to the legendary dinosaur island, where they are welcomed warmly on arrival. Then a huge typhoon strikes the island, and the eggs disappear. Zorori sets out on a quest to find the missing eggs and bring them safely back to their families. The film mixes adventure and comedy around a trip to dinosaur island gone wrong.
