Kintaro, the figure from Japanese folklore, is gentle by nature and remarkably strong, and he is well liked in the forest. His story traces how he eventually rises to become a great samurai known as Sakata no Kintoki. This fantasy film is one of several classic adaptations of the Kintaro legend.
