Two otaku living in the same house, neither pretending to be normal, just existing in the comfortable wreckage of their shared obsessions. The comedy lives in those three-minute stretches where nothing happens except Moyoco watching Hideaki be exactly who he is, and somehow that's enough. It's a show about people who stopped performing for the world and started actually living in it.

Moyoco Anno's first essay manga becomes a short comedy in thirteen episodes, drawn from her own married life with Hideaki Anno, a man hailed as a founding figure of otaku fandom. On screen she is the manga artist Rompers, and he is Kantoku-kun, counted among Japan's four great otaku kings. Their daily routine is full of otaku habits, and Rompers finds that becoming a proper otaku wife is hard work. The tone mixes everyday slice-of-life humor with warmth.
