Demetan is a young frog whose family is so poor that he cannot go to school in their woodland pond community. He becomes friends with Ranatan, a sweet and gentle frog girl whose father is the pond's rich ruler. Her father dislikes their bond and tries to end it, but the two young frogs press on with courage. They set out to lead the heartless leopard frog toward fairness and generosity, and little by little the pond answers their sincerity by joining them in heading toward a brighter future. The series is a comedy that ran for 39 episodes.
