Kisshou City is one of the few oases left on land ruined by a long world war, and its people gather the wreckage of humanoid war machines called Legacies and rebuild them. When an armed gang moves on the city to take its resources and the secrets held in the Legacies, the mayor turns to a trump card: Ω99, a military robot that has sat dormant since the war and is the hardest of all to pilot. Robots choose their own pilots, known as Synchronizers, and Ω99 picks Yamato, an unremarkable teenager whose only real talent is gaming and who knows nothing of the danger facing his home. The project was planned as a long TV series but was cancelled, leaving only a short trailer.
