The Precure formula usually means the girls win, transform, and save the day. This movie strips Ciel of her power in the one place she should feel strongest, then traps her in a city made of the one thing she can't master. The Kirakira Precure team travels to France to enter a famous sweets contest. Ciel has not seemed like herself, and her trip goes badly: she suddenly cannot change into her Precure form, and her sweets are not turning out well either. At the venue the girls meet Jean-Pierre, a pâtissier who once taught Ciel to cook in Paris. Ichika proposes that the two of them make a mille-feuille full of memories for the contest. Those plans are interrupted when a mysterious monster attacks the pâtissier, and during the competition the streets of Paris turn into sweets. The film is a magical girl fantasy movie built around this trip to France.
