Kae doesn't want the four guys chasing her, she wants to watch them chase each other, and the show finds comedy gold in that refusal to play the game everyone expects her to play. The humor lands because it's rooted in actual fujoshi logic, not some exaggerated parody version of it. You're watching someone who genuinely prefers fantasy to reality, and instead of fixing her, the show just lets her be weird and happy about it.

Kae Serinuma is a kind second-year high school student, a devoted otaku and a fan of Boys' Love, who loves imagining her male classmates falling for each other. When her favorite anime character dies, she is so upset that she stops eating and stays in her room for a week. She comes out much slimmer and suddenly beautiful. Now four boys she has always known at school want to spend time with her. Serinuma is not interested in being pursued, though. She would much rather the four of them fall in love with one another. The result is a romantic comedy built around a heroine whose sudden popularity is the last thing she wanted.
