Hans walks into a castle to confront the wind itself over spilled flour. North Wind treats him like an equal, hands him gifts that should solve everything, then lets him walk straight into the same trap three times. The show knows something about stubborn people who'd rather ask the sky for help than learn to pay attention to the people standing right next to them.
Hans is baking bread, but the North Wind keeps scattering the flour from his mixing bowl. He travels to the North Wind's castle to ask for the gusts to end and for something to make up for his loss. The North Wind gives him a magic tablecloth that produces fine meals, but a local innkeeper cons Hans out of it without his noticing. Hans returns and is given a sheep that sheds gold coins, only for the same innkeeper to trick him again. On his third visit, the North Wind hands over a scepter, secretly rigged to expose whoever has been taking Hans's gifts. Adapted from a Norwegian folk tale, the fantasy film is a simple fable about greed and a clever trap.
