The two make a final attempt to save it with a trip to Toyama, the place of their first date. Haruki, an apprentice woodcarver trained by his sculptor father, sells his small figures through the family shop of his childhood friend Aoi. When their classmate Shiori questions Aoi about Haruki and then declares her feelings to him, the two friends must reconsider what they mean to each other. Takumi keeps the cable cars running at a big ski centre during the off-season, while Natsuko practices racing in the resort's parking lot, and a ride up the mountain brings them together.
