Mameta is a palm-sized mamegoma, one of the tiny bean seals, and a close friend of grade schooler Akane. She lives with her kind parents and her lively younger sister Yui in a house by the beach that doubles as a tofu shop. Each day brings Akane new experiences alongside Mameta, and she befriends plenty of other mamegoma from the mamegoma shop in town, among them the cute Cherry-chan and Harikiri-san's Soda-kun. The tofu shop also has a resident duck named Takayaso, a favorite of Akane and the seals. The short TV series runs 51 episodes and is based on the miniature seal characters created by San-X.
