This one gets you with a misunderstanding you can see coming and still enjoy watching detonate. Atsushi transfers into Jougaouka carrying a torch for Ma-chan, walks into the nurse's office, and finds a man who looks like his childhood crush and behaves like his opposite, because it isn't him at all, it's Masayoshi. That single mistaken identity does all the work here, and the OVA is smart enough to let Atsushi keep flailing instead of explaining itself. Meanwhile Kouji is a running disaster of affection, lunging for a kiss at the worst possible moment, and the show treats his persistence as comedy rather than menace. Two episodes, no spectacle, just 1994 cel work, soft colors, and rooms where people talk themselves into corners. It's the kind of early BL comedy that lives on timing and blushing, and it knows exactly how ridiculous everyone is being.

Atsushi Arisawa enrolls at Jougaouka High School to be close to Masami Shibata, the older neighbor he adored as a child and has kept writing to, believing Masami now works there as the school nurse. When he reaches the nurse's office, he's floored. The person greeting him is nothing like the Masami he remembers: sharp-tongued, utterly changed, and seemingly with no memory of him. Atsushi is horrified by what looks like a complete personality reversal. His friend Kouji Inagaki, who is in love with him, keeps trying to make out with him, which makes school life even harder. Over time, though, Atsushi begins to think the new Ma-chan isn't so bad, and that he may actually like him as he is now. Then he learns the truth: the nurse isn't Masami at all, but Masami's brother, Masayoshi. The result is a short romantic comedy built around a case of mistaken identity.
