Hoshi of Star of the Giants and Atom, known abroad as Astro Boy, meet for a game of baseball in this single-episode sports crossover. The special aired on Nippon Television on September 6, 1969, and was a joint effort between Tokyo Movie and Mushi Pro, bringing together rival characters from the same network to settle things on the field. It ranks among the earliest anime crossovers made in Japan. Despite that place in history, only short fragments of the broadcast have come to light over the years.
