In the 26th century, long after humanity spread out across the universe, people finally make contact with an alien civilization. The news causes a stir, and a cheap TV documentary is set to be filmed aboard the cargo ship Lydia as it travels to a planet where traces of that civilization survive. The planet's dark-skinned, golden-eyed natives appear to live a simple, carefree life, but they share a symbiotic bond with dangerous reptilian parasites, and the Earth scientists have disturbed that fragile balance. Captain Harmer keeps getting maneuvered by Shana T, a mysterious member of the TV crew, yet he grows fond of her. Meanwhile a foundation that promotes friendly contact with the aliens is digging up the ruins and quietly takes one of the aliens captive. The OVA is a single-episode science fiction story adapted from Michihara Katsumi's manga.
