A premise so absurd it shouldn't work: women in combat gear defending libraries from government censors. Then it makes you believe every second of it. The romance builds so naturally across twelve episodes that you don't realize you're invested until a single glance between them stops your heart, and the show treats knowledge and freedom like they're worth dying for, which sounds heavy until you realize it means the show trusts you to care about ideas, not just explosions. The tonal whiplash between comedic sparring and genuine stakes costs it nothing because the characters stay real through both.
