It drops a kung fu rom-com into the middle of Link Click's darkest stretch and somehow makes it land. Siwen wants the martial arts master's daughter, so he pays the Time Photo Studio to crack the old man's technique, and suddenly Cheng Xiaoshi is wearing a stranger's body trying to fight in a style he's never trained a day for, with Lu Guang in his ear playing the only calm voice in the room. The fights are genuinely well drawn for a bonus episode, not the phoned-in filler you brace for. Then the twist hits, and half the fandom calls it brilliant while the other half rewinds three times arguing the logic doesn't hold. Both camps are kind of right. It's twenty minutes of Qiao Ling's shop taking a job that sounds like a joke and paying it off like it always mattered.

This extra episode of the Mystery and Supernatural ONA fits between episodes five and six. Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi run the Time Photo Studio, where their complementary powers let them jump into photographs and reach the past. Their newest client is Liu Siwen, who wants nothing more than to marry Ou Yang. Her father, a martial arts master, is wary of an outsider and will only give his blessing if Liu Siwen beats him in a fair duel. Years of failed attempts with his modest skills have left Liu Siwen stuck, so he turns to the two partners, who come up with a plan to outsmart the master. Pulling it off proves harder than it sounds.
