Charo is a puppy whose adventures unfold in New York, told in short episodes of a slice-of-life TV program made by NHK. The program was designed as English education, so the everyday story of the young dog in the big city doubles as a way for viewers to practice the language. The run spans 50 short episodes, first broadcast in 2008.
