A magical girl show that knows exactly what it's parodying and commits to the bit without apology. The joke is the entire premise: a girl becomes a magical girl to seduce her crush by tutoring him in English, and the show treats this absurdity with the same earnest magical girl logic as the real thing. It's self-aware enough to be funny, shameless enough to work, and short enough that you never feel it overstaying its welcome.

Ink Nijihara is a clumsy, very short high school girl who could pass for a grade schooler, yet she ranks among the best students at her school and shines in English. She likes her classmate Nao Tezuka but is far too shy to say so, and he barely notices her. Everything changes when she runs into Arks, a mage exiled from the magic realm to the human world as a duck. He hands her a magical cell phone that turns her into Pastel Ink, and she must now help people in need while using her disguise to get close to Nao and help him with his English. Soon Arks' rival Karks appears as a cat and gives Ink's friend Sumi the power to transform too, and another mysterious magical girl with a grudge against Arks sets out to stop his good deeds. Expect comedy with plenty of ecchi content alongside the magical girl premise.
