Locodol is a show about two girls doing the absolute least glamorous job in anime: promoting a real neighborhood in Hiroshima on behalf of the local government. The comedy lives in the gap between their earnest idol-group energy and the reality that they're selling drainage infrastructure and community centers to bored residents. This OVA is exactly what the show does best: taking something completely devoid of drama, finding the human awkwardness in it, and making you laugh at how hard these two are trying anyway.

Nanako and Yukari serve as Nagarekawa's local idols, a modest gig paid for by town taxes that has them doing shopping center interviews, cheap cable TV spots and concerts on department store rooftops. In this single unaired OVA episode, released with the first Blu-ray and DVD volume of the series, the Awa Awa Girls drop in on the Locodols in hopes of being shown around Nagarekawa. Expect a short comedy side story set in the girls' hometown.
