You're stuck as a human with robot instincts in a world that doesn't know what you were. The OVA doesn't waste time on existential dread, it moves, it fights, it trusts you to feel the vertigo of being ripped from one life into another without explanation. Three episodes is not enough time to process what happened to you, and the show knows it, so it keeps moving forward anyway, leaving you in the same fog as the cast. This is a direct sequel hiding inside a completely different story, which means it hits different if you know the history but doesn't collapse if you don't. The human forms are not a costume, they're a prison made of flesh, and every fight feels like remembering something you're not allowed to forget.
Picking up where Revenge of Cronos ended, Rom and Leina pass through a dimensional barrier and lose their robot bodies, becoming human. The crossing separates them and clouds their memories. Leina Stol is reborn as Leina Haruka, an ordinary Japanese schoolgirl. Over the course of this three-episode mecha action OVA, she crosses paths with Rod Drill, Blue Jet, Triple Jim and Rom, each of whom has also become human.
