This isn't a "best of" compilation. It's proof that Macross Frontier knew exactly what it was: a machine built to make you feel music the way the show's characters do. The animation doesn't just accompany the songs, it moves inside them, every frame synced to the moment the emotional hit lands. This is what happens when you treat a music video like a narrative event and give it the budget of a theatrical feature.
A music clip collection from Macross Frontier, gathering eight music videos together with well-known scenes from both the TV series and the theatrical films. Newly made footage fills out the release: an interview with Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome, a TV spot starring Ranka, and choreography footage featuring 3D character versions of Nakajima Megumi and May'n. Sheryl, the celebrated Galactic Fairy, sees herself above all as a singer, while Ranka's lively voice has made her a Cinderella story of her own. Both share a love of song and feelings for the same pilot. Before its home video release, the collection had a limited run in three theaters in Tokyo, Aichi and Osaka in November 2010.
