Anime Like Macross Plus
A 1994 OVA that still moves faster and looks sharper than most anime released today. SYNOPSIS
Twenty-seven years after first contact with alien life, humanity spreads across the galaxy with gleaming colonies and cutting-edge technology. On the frontier world of Eden, three childhood friends collide again under impossible circumstances. Isamu and Guld are elite test pilots locked in brutal competition over the military's next generation fighter jet, each desperate to prove their machine superior. Meanwhile, Myung has reinvented herself as the voice and face of Sharon Apple, a perfect artificial idol whose emotions are entirely synthetic, fed directly from Myung's own heart. When someone secretly installs an unstable, unauthorized AI program into Sharon's systems, the android begins to develop something nobody planned for: genuine consciousness. As Sharon evolves beyond her programming, she becomes dangerously unpredictable, and the careful balance between the three friends shatters. Isamu and Guld's rivalry escalates from professional competition into something personal and violent, while Myung finds herself trapped between two worlds: the artificial being she created and the men she once loved.
