Ryuu, called the Crying Dragon, is a mysterious man who often plays mahjong against gang members. He wins only by ron, holding out for an opponent's discard to complete his hand. In mahjong, ron is also known as naki, a word pronounced the same as the Japanese for crying, which gives him his nickname. Released in 1991, this single-episode drama OVA adapts Nojo Junichi's mahjong manga, and unlike the earlier OVA series it was produced separately by Toshiba.
