Nobody's asking for Kusuriya no Hitorigoto comedy shorts. They exist anyway, and they're funnier than they have any right to be. The chibi versions of Maomao and Jinshi destroy the poison-mystery gravitas of the main show in the best possible way, turning a serious pharmacist into a tiny chaos agent. If you've watched the actual series, these hit different because you know exactly what they're parodying. They're the show letting itself breathe, no stakes, just two characters you already love being idiots in miniature form.

Maomao no Hitorigoto 2nd Season is a set of chibi comedy shorts tied to the second season of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto. The 24 episodes are a mini anime released as an ONA in 2025 on the TOHO animation YouTube channel. They sit alongside the main second season as a lighter, comedic side project told in a small, cute chibi style.
