Ikki and Metabee are still here, but almost everyone else is gone, and the show never explains why. The new threat actually works, emotionless machines hunting down their emotional counterparts creates real tension that the original never pushed this hard. You get a tighter story without filler, but the cost is a cast you spent a whole season with vanishing into nothing, and that loss becomes the real weight this sequel carries.

Ikki and his partner Metabee return in this sequel to Medabots, and a strange new enemy named Jinkai stands in their way, along with the so-called Death Medabots. A new company has also appeared, making battle robots meant not just to knock opponents out of a fight but to destroy them outright. With the Medabots themselves at risk of vanishing, Ikki and Metabee team up with Nae and Erica to stop this threat in an action and adventure mecha series.
