The champion fell exactly how champions do: not in the ring, but into the quiet places where nobody's watching. Seven years of scars and gear and a false name is what it costs to survive winning everything. Joe's redemption isn't a comeback story, it's the brutal math of a system that chews up dreamers and spits out ghosts, and he's learning to haunt it on his own terms.

Megalobox is a futuristic form of boxing in which fighters wear metal frames called Gear. "Gearless" Joe won the first Megalonia tournament after climbing from the lowest underground ring to the top in just three months, but he soon lost an exhibition bout to the second champion and disappeared from public view. Seven years later he calls himself Nomad. Scarred and wearing Gear again, he keeps a low profile and takes the occasional underground match to get by, while hallucinations haunt him and he leans on painkillers to dull his mind. After beating an opponent named Chief, who threw the fight to earn extra money from gamblers, Joe learns that Chief belongs to the Casa, an immigrant community living illegally on land Chief hopes to buy. Joe is reluctant at first, but he eventually decides to help. This second season of Megalo Box blends sports action, drama and science fiction across 13 episodes.
