A girl falls through time and lands in a world where monsters are real and only she can see them. The Meiji period becomes less historical setting and more romantic obstacle course. SYNOPSIS
A crimson moon pulls high school student Mei through time itself. She wakes in Meiji-era Tokyo, a world that shouldn't exist outside her textbooks. Confused and stranded, she's rescued and brought to the Rokumeikan, an elegant ballroom where Japan's most influential men gather beneath gaslit chandeliers. Then comes the real shock: when twilight falls, creatures called mononoke slip into the city. Most people never see them. Mei does. She's a tamayori, someone cursed or blessed with the ability to perceive what others cannot. This power marks her as rare, valuable, and dangerous in equal measure. Trapped between two eras and caught in a role she didn't choose, Mei finds unexpected connections blooming around her. These men of power and secrets begin orbiting her life, drawn to her unique ability and the mystery of her arrival. But every bond forged with a tamayori carries weight. Mei must figure out why she was pulled backward through time and whether staying in this beautiful, haunted world means giving up any chance of returning home.
