The opening theme is so good it makes you forget what comes after. Romance with historical warlords should feel epic, but this show keeps everything intimate and quiet instead, letting tension build through conversation and choice rather than spectacle. The animation crumbles under close inspection, but the voice acting carries the weight the visuals can't. What hits is simpler: multiple men who actually want to know who you are, each one a different answer to the question of what love costs in a world falling apart.

After a sudden light bursts from her phone, a quiet girl named Yuzuki finds herself in Shinga, another world that looks much like Japan's Sengoku era. Vampires, werewolves and other non-human tribes live there, once kept in peace by the Himemiko, a woman with special blood. Since the Himemiko vanished, rival warlords have been at war and monsters called Yakuma roam the land. Toyotomi Hideyoshi rescues Yuzuki on a battlefield and learns that her blood awakens the hidden powers of the tribes, so the other warlords start hunting for her. To get home, she has to find the missing Himemiko. The show is a romance fantasy built on warlords of the Warring States period.
