It opens with a student council summons and then, without warning, someone starts singing. That is the deal here: Dance with Devils is a full-blown musical reverse harem, and it commits so hard to the bit that Rem Kaginuki and the rest of the council will stop a scene cold to belt their intentions at you in three-part harmony. The Grimoire plot is held together with tape and vibes, Ritsuka spends a lot of the runtime being told things rather than doing them, and honestly none of that is the point. The point is Roen the little dog being more menacing than any of the vampires, Lindo's exorcist brother act curdling into something much weirder, and Shiki and Urie circling like they know exactly what show they are in. Otome fans clocked this immediately. You do not watch it because it is good, you watch it because it sings at you and you cannot look away.

Ritsuka Tachibana is a second-year student at Shiko Academy who has always kept to the rules, so she is stunned when the student council calls her in for supposedly breaking them. When her protective brother Lindo comes home from abroad, she hopes things might settle down, but he is keeping dark secrets of his own. Unsure whom to trust, Ritsuka also has to deal with her growing attraction to the handsome council members in this supernatural romance.
