Yuta has spent five centuries looking for salvation. SYNOPSIS
Yuta has walked Japan for five centuries, cursed with immortality after consuming mermaid flesh as a child. He searches relentlessly for another mermaid, desperate to reverse the curse and reclaim his humanity. When he finally discovers one, his hope shatters. The mermaid and her companions don't offer salvation; they're parasites who've imprisoned a girl named Mana, fattening her like livestock to harvest her flesh and steal her youth. Killing them becomes necessity rather than choice. But rescue isn't redemption. Mana has already eaten the flesh herself, binding her to the same immortal fate as Yuta. Now two people marked by the same curse must navigate a world that refuses to let them age or belong. What begins as a grim hunt transforms into something stranger: a partnership born from shared monstrosity. Mana discovers wonder in ordinary things, while Yuta learns that centuries of solitude might finally end. Together, they wander Japan seeking answers about their condition and searching for what it means to live forever when you never wanted to at all.
