A girl wakes up with a glowing blue orb in her bedroom, and suddenly every Mejiro bird in the city is weaponized against her. Four cosmic entities arrive to fight a fifth one that's already descended to Earth, and Michiru is standing in the exact middle of a war she didn't sign up for. The movie moves fast enough that you barely notice how absurd the premise is, and by the time the birds are attacking, you've already bought in completely. It's not trying to be profound or layered. It exists to deliver a specific, bizarre story about a girl and some birds and things from space, and it does that with total confidence. Watch this if you want something that knows exactly what it is and doesn't apologize.

Four glowing orbs, blue, yellow, silver and purple, pursue a dark red orb through space, and after they clash only the blue one falls to Earth, landing in the room where Michiru sleeps. The red orb reaches Earth too, takes the shape of a boy, and starts keeping Mejiro birds illegally. Later, while Michiru is at a flea market in a park, a huge flock of Mejiro fills the sky and turns on the people below. The yellow, silver and purple orbs arrive and try to settle the birds, but the trouble threatens to flare up again. Then a voice speaks inside Michiru's head, asking her to save the Mejiro.
