Nobody talks about this one. Midnight Horror School is pure structural comedy, 26 students named alphabetically with colors, a skeleton playground, a graveyard campus, the setup is so specific and dense that the show doesn't need a plot to land jokes, just needs you to pay attention to what's already there. It's anarchic in the way only early-2000s comedy anime dared to be, more interested in the absurdity of its own architecture than in explaining itself. The format feels built for rewatch; every object and character name is a potential punchline waiting for you to catch it the second time through.
