You're not watching a trial. You're in the jury booth, and the songs are confessions. Each prisoner's music video rewrites what you thought you knew about them, then makes you complicit in your own judgment. The score doesn't illustrate the story, it is the story, and by the time you understand what these people actually did, you've already decided they matter.

MILGRAM is a psychological mystery told through a set of eleven music videos, an interactive multimedia music project from DECO*27 and Takuya Yamanaka. Es wakes inside a facility called Milgram and meets Jackalope, an odd talking animal. Es soon learns the job: serve as prison guard and dig into the minds of ten inmates, each locked up for having caused a death in one way or another. Every prisoner's fate depends on Es, who can reach only one of two verdicts, innocent or guilty. Along the way the story asks whether intent should count for anything when the outcome is someone's death.
