By season three, Miss Monochrome stops trying to be clever about being an idol and just becomes a show about a robot who wants it badly enough that her desperation reads as genuine loneliness. The comedy finally lands because you've watched her fail enough times that her small wins actually matter. It's a show that gets better the longer you stay, which is the opposite of what most shorts do.

Miss Monochrome returns for a third season, still working hard toward her goal of becoming the most popular idol in Japan. This time the idol group Caramel lends her a hand. With her live tour drawing nearer each day, she trains alongside her team and promotes the coming concerts, until the tour she has long awaited finally gets underway and her fans' response remains to be seen. Short comedy episodes mix music with slice-of-life moments.
