In Kyoto, three girls, Mai Ichinose, Riko Kikuzuki and Midori Aikawa, share a dream of becoming maiko, the apprentice performers of traditional dance and song. They live together in a geisha house, training side by side and learning to trust and support one another. News of an upcoming festival thrills them, until they discover that each house may send only two maiko. As the friends compete to prove who deserves a place, distance grows between them, and each must weigh a long-held dream against a friendship she treasures. The single OVA, adapted from Matsumoto Itsuki's light novels, is a quiet slice-of-life drama.
