Lieutenant Oliver May serves with the 603 Technical Division, a Zeon unit stationed aboard the Jotunheim during the One Year War. The team's job is to test and evaluate new, experimental weapons meant to help Zeon in its fight against the Federation Forces. Every trial centers on a single weapon and the pilot who tests it, and the hardships each one meets become a brief chapter in the larger history of the war. The three-episode OVA is mecha science fiction told from the side of the weapons testers.
