William and Sherlock circling each other over a ruined painting, both pretending they're not there for the same reason. The OVA knows exactly what its fans came for: two episodes of watching these men navigate proximity without breaking character. The second episode drops all pretense and just lets them be a family trying not to murder each other over tea service, which is where the real tension lives.

William Moriarty returns in two anime-original stories. In the first episode, a newspaper report about a damaged lily painting in Bath, the famous English hot spring town, catches his eye because he recognizes the artist from his childhood in the slums. He travels there with his brother Louis, only to find that the man claiming to be the painter is not the one he remembers. Crossing paths again with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, who are looking into the case, William searches for clues to find his old friend. The second episode shifts tone entirely, pulling William and his associates into domestic chaos when the Moriarty household must host a tea party for smitten aristocratic women. Because their secretive home is packed with weapons, research and other tools of their hidden work, the whole team has to use every skill they have to keep their guests entertained while protecting their base of operations.
