A teenage Musashi who won't shut up about his problems fights demons with gun-revolvers that seal evil while chasing a girl he'll probably never have. The show knows it's absurd, a historical legend remixed into steampunk fantasy wish-fulfillment, and commits to the bit without apology. The Sengoku Era has ended with the Toyotomi army victorious, and the defeated Tokugawa has been allowed to live. Then an evil ayakashi called Yasha tells Tokugawa that history meant for him to win, and offers him power, which he accepts. Standing against Tokugawa's bid to rule Japan and his threat to Princess Kaguya, the link to this altered present, is a brash and whiny young Miyamoto Musashi. He practices Gun-do, a fighting style that combines swordplay with shooting, and carries an electric sword and revolvers that can seal demons. Along the way he hopes to win Kaguyahime's love in this adventure fantasy.
