Hiroshi's confessions never land because Himari is terrified of the thing he's trying to give her. That gap between what he wants to say and what she can actually hear is the entire show. Every episode is him throwing himself at a wall that has reasons for being there, and somehow that becomes the funniest, most human thing on screen.
Hiroshi Furuya falls hard for Himari Asaki, a lovely senior, on the very day he starts high school. He keeps trying to tell her how he feels, and she keeps turning him down, fifteen times and counting. Himari has a secret, though: she is afraid of men, and she works hard to stay out of his way. Around this central pairing, an ensemble of classmates each get their own romantic stories. One is Hiroshi's friend Akechi, who keeps a notebook of information on the girls at school and grows curious about the secrets of a very quiet, shy girl, until that interest may turn into something more personal. The mix is comedy, romance and slice of life with an ecchi streak.
